Daniel Kurniawan is our new Research Intern for the Solar Revolution Hub program. Joining in October 2019, he is currently tasked to support the Directorate General of New and Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (Ditjen EBTKE, ESDM) with the making of the Roadmap for Solar Energy Development in Indonesia (2019-2025).
Prior to joining IESR, Daniel interned at one of leading solar EPC in Jakarta and had worked on third-generation solar cells research for 2+ years in Seoul, South Korea. He is now interested in leveraging his research skills, newly gained industry knowledge in solar EPC, and his expertise in solar PV technology to advocate for solar energy adoption in Indonesia.
Daniel holds an MEng in Energy Engineering (Nanomaterials Science and Engineering) from the University of Science and Technology (UST), South Korea and a BEng in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Universitas Indonesia (UI).
