Energy System Transformation Program Officer
Muhammad Maghribul Falah, called Falah, works at IESR as a staff of the energy transformation program. He assists the Energy Transformation Program Manager to implement programs and projects that are within his scope of responsibility and coordination, to produce outputs and achieve set goals, and have an impact in accordance with the vision and mission of the institution.
Falah started his career in renewable energy through Patriot Energi, a program of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in collaboration with IBEKA Foundation. He monitored the construction of a 50 kWp capacity Centralized Solar Power Plant in a remote village, Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province. In addition, he also built and managed a local community organization to manage the solar power plant. After joining the Patriot Energi program, Falah continued working in a remote village in Berau Regency, East Kalimantan Province. He became a project coordinator to monitor the community and government to make village mapping activities and then make it into a village profile book and map.
After this experience, Falah and his coworkers formed their own social enterprise called Ruang Inovasi. This social enterprise is an accelerator for village communities in Berau Regency for them to form village businesses. He hopes they will have local products that are ready to compete in the market and can be an added value for the village community.
Falah has a background in science, having studied chemistry at the University of Indonesia. In his spare time, Falah enjoys jogging, reading comics, and watching movies.
