Faricha Hidayati
Industry Decarbonization Policy and Technology Coordinator
Faricha Hidayati, usually called Icha, is currently working as an Industry Decarbonization Policy and Technology Coordinator at IESR. Previously, Faricha was involved in many sustainable energy projects as a researcher at the energy conversion laboratory, Gadjah Mada University (2018), microelectronics and nanostructure laboratory, Manchester University (2021-22), and research assistant at the ASEAN Center for Energy (2022-23).
During his studies at S1 Mechanical Engineering UGM and MSc Renewable Energy and Clean Technology with Extended Research UoM, he received many awards in the field of sustainable energy. Among them are Top 5 Finalist ASEAN Science Project on Sustainable Energy by PERTAMINA, Best Research Project by UoM, and Top Student of the Year by UoM. His master’s research project is to design and manufacture flexible and lightweight supercapacitors for fast-charging energy storage using sustainable materials and processes.
In her spare time, she bakes and cooks. She also enjoys sports and outdoor activities such as badminton, cycling, and hiking. On weekends, she enjoys joining several volunteer activities that promote awareness of climate change and sustainable living as well as promoting educational equality for women and children living under limited resources.
