Turas Nur Vemantyasto, commonly called Turas, is a Program Officer for the Sustainable Energy Access Program at the Institute for Essential Service Reform (IESR). Turas graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering & Planning Education from Yogyakarta State University.

He continued his master’s study at Gadjah Mada University, taking the Master of Transportation System and Engineering program. During his college years, Turas actively participated in various organizational activities. He became part of the Student Association with the role of Academic Department Staff, where he was responsible for organizing the National Seminar & Call for Papers. In the following years, Turas became an administrator of the UNY Civil Alumni Association with the position of External Department Staff and served as Coordinator of the Civil Alumni Association for the 2019-2023 period.

During college, Turas also actively worked as a freelancer in the construction field, involved in road planning projects, bridge planning, and the implementation of the Certificate of Functioning (SLF). In his spare time, Turas often fills his time by reading comics.
