The slow progress of renewable energy development for energy transition cannot be separated from the high dependence on fossil energy to weak cross-sectoral coordination. The highest holder of the country’s leadership must intervene so that the energy transition slides on the right track and is more planned. Political will must be maintained. If not, the target of net-zero emissions by 2060 could run aground.
