Power System Transition Coordinator
Joining IESR as the Power System Transition Coordinator, Dwi Cahya Agung Saputra (familiarly called Agung) wants to take a role in the energy transition process in Indonesia, especially in the power system subsector, to achieve sooner and more sustainability. Through an evidence-based policy advocacy approach, Agung is assigned to develop and execute strategies that can encourage transition in the power system subsector, engage with related stakeholders to collaborate on the success of various energy transition programs, and advocate for different policies to support the government in transforming the power system to provide the clean and affordable energy for all community.
Prior to joining IESR, Agung worked as an analyst for renewable energy, power systems, and climate change. As an analyst, Agung has carried out various planning studies such as feasibility studies for solar PV; front-end engineering design of renewable energy-based power generation; power system study; and MRV guidelines for mitigation actions, as well as providing technical assistance to prepare project design document and monitoring report for mitigation actors. Agung once published his final thesis research, to achieve a master’s degree at FT UI, entitled Flexibility Analysis in Java, Madura, and Bali Power System due to Massive Integration of VRE-based Power Generations.
