Rheza Hanif Risqianto

Green Energy and Hydrogen Analyst

Rheza Hanif Risqianto, known as Rheza, is the Green Energy and Hydrogen Analyst for the Green Energy Transition Indonesia (GETI) Program at IESR. His work involves research, analysis, and policy assessment related to renewable energy technologies, hydrogen, and green ammonia.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and a Master of Energy from the University of Auckland. His research on the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of alternative public bus technologies provided insights into the environmental impact of transitioning from conventional diesel buses to hydrogen and electric buses, contributing to the broader discourse on sustainable mobility.
Before joining IESR, Rheza built his career in the FMCG industry as a mechanical project engineer, where he successfully led and completed multiple capital projects. His interest for sustainability led him to take an active role in energy efficiency initiatives and renewable energy integration within industrial operations, including heat recovery, solar PV, and biomass steam boiler implementation.
Away from work, Rheza finds energy and excitement in sports, with football and tennis being his favourites. He also enjoys traveling and experiencing diverse coffee cultures, seeking out unique flavours from different regions.
