Sustainable Mobility and Transport Analyst

Rifki Pradityo, or usually can be called Rifki is a Sustainable Mobility and Transport Analyst at IESR. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from Civil Engineering with a specialization in transportation, University of Indonesia in 2018. After his bachelor’s graduation, Rifki started his career as a junior transportation analyst for 5 years at several local and international consultants, namely PT Mitra Pembangunan Jaya and Egis. His involvement was mostly in projects related to the preliminary and feasibility studies of public transportation and sustainable urban mobility plans (SUMPs).

To deepen his interest in sustainable mobility, Rifki pursued a Master’s degree in Transportation Planning at the University of Leeds. During his latest study, Rifki undertook research regarding the potential development of Bike Sharing service in Bandung as a daily transportation mode replacing the use of motorbikes. Using a qualitative method through thematic analysis, Rifki gathered insights from urban cyclists to represent the local community, focusing on key factors that influence the willingness to cycle in urban areas. To provide a comprehensive perspective, he also engaged with Bandung bike-sharing operator to examine the current operational system and future development plans, while benchmarking best practices from countries that have successfully implemented such systems. This study serves as a foundation for evaluating service development priorities to support sustainable urban mobility in Indonesian cities by promoting more socially, environmentally, and economically friendly mode option in form of shared bikes.

Having recently returned to Indonesia in October 2024 after completing his studies, Rifki currently spends his leisure time mostly gaming and exercising with friends and his lovely wife.
