Background
Part of IESR’s industrial decarbonization strategy on assisting industry to accelerate loc carbon transition production process, including aligning the regulation on compliance with emission reporting and reduction and green industry certificates. The changes of the decarbonization industry in terms of technological development, and policy releases are fast and rapid. The information is scatters and difficult to find integrated information in one platform.
While the current ministry has officially announced the target of net zero emission in the industrial sector would like to be achieved ten years earlier than the national target or in 2050, Industry focuses to promote the decarbonization practice to comply with current policy and anticipate upcoming policy. To achieve the decarbonization goal, industry requires strengthening capacity and knowledge of low carbon technologies.
Meanwhile, technology development has been massively improved to increase the efficiency of process, energy and material sources. But there are many technological providers that create difficulty for industry to find the most suitable technology for industry. Compiling technology into one platform will assist the industry to filter the information before making decisions on transformation.
IESR is currently working on an asset-level database and sectoral analysis of industrial decarbonization policy, tech, subsequent possible renewable and low carbon tech substitutes, and a general decarbonization pathway with supporting study cases. IESR identified three main aspects of decarbonization to be initiated, (1) Database of low carbon technologies, (2) Green Industry Certification Assistance, and (3) Emission Reporting. To develop an informative and intuitive website, the website will provide a learning material module, video, article and low carbon tech database
Objective
This Proposal Objective want to:
- The objective of this project is to create an informative, intuitive, and compelling tool to disseminate the information of low carbon technologies catalogue, green industry standard and emission reporting mandatory procedures.
- The tool would present curated information and analysis on the current status of green industry standard, process to be follow to achieve the recognition and promote innovative low carbon technologies
- The platform should be built in modular packages to allow for further development in the future
