Supriadi
East Nusa Tenggara Net-Zero Emission (NTT NZE) 2050 Program Officer
Supriadi currently works as a Program Officer for the East Nusa Tenggara Net-Zero Emission (NTT NZE) 2050. In this role, he supports the achievement of NTT’s energy system decarbonization targets by leveraging the region’s renewable energy potential and promoting sustainable economic growth. His work includes conducting needs assessments, research, and policy analysis, as well as contributing to program design, monitoring, and evaluation. He also develops databases and manages relationships and strategic partnerships with various stakeholders and partners.
Before joining IESR, Supriadi worked with a civil society organization (NGO) and a coalition of NGOs focusing on the advocacy of Indigenous Peoples’ and Local Communities’ rights and sustainable environmental management. He has experience coordinating youth empowerment programs for Indigenous communities in Indonesia and the Philippines and leading several research projects on land rights and the climate resilience of Indigenous food systems. His research has contributed to evidence-based advocacy and has been disseminated through various platforms, including the FAO White/Wiphala Paper on Indigenous Peoples’ Food Systems (2021), University College London (UCL)’s Extreme Citizen Science Research Group (2023), and the UNFCCC’s 2019 Asia-Pacific Climate Week.
Supriadi earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Welfare from the Universitas Indonesia in 2018, and later completed a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy along with a certificate program in Energy Management and Policy at the University of Pennsylvania in 2025. During his graduate studies, he explored topics such as energy market and policies, climate and energy finance, climate change and economic inequalities, and energy geopolitics and national security. He also gained research experience on corporate sustainability practices and decarbonization strategies in the defense industries of the United Kingdom and the European Union while serving as a research assistant at Auckland University.
In his spare time, Supriadi enjoys playing badminton, watching films, taking evening walks, and reading. Three of his favorite books that he often recommends to others are Gadis Pantai by Pramoedya Ananta Toer, Harimau! Harimau! by Mochtar Lubis, and The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck. He aspires to establish a community reading space to help expand access to quality reading materials in his community.
