Indonesia has a large potential for floating solar power plants in quite extensive Indonesian waters, including Central Java Province. Moreover, Central Java is committed to becoming the first solar energy province in Indonesia. IESR conducted a mapping of the technical potential of solar energy utilization in Central Java, especially the floating solar power plant, as one of the first steps to a more aggressive solar energy development in this province.
