Tirto | Renewable Energy False Commitment in the EBT Bill: Still Discussing Coal

The draft of the New and Renewable Energy (EBT) Bill shows that the government does not yet have a solution to get out of dependence on fossil energy. When China committed not to fund the Coal-fired Power Plants, Indonesia’s coal targets and yields even reached the highest numbers in 2021. Fabby, Executive Director of IESR, offered a solution instead of adding coal derivatives to the EBT Bill, it is better to use them as a source of advanced carbon materials that can be used, for example, for electric vehicles.
