Ilham works as an Environmental Policy Analyst at the Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR). He focuses on environmental policy, equitable energy transition, coal dynamics and energy policy. In the research team, Ilham deals with the social and policy side of research projects at IESR.

Prior to joining IESR, Ilham worked as a consulting analyst for a Dutch manufacturer of mother & baby products, Nine&Co (Noppies) in its transition to a circular business model. In addition, he has also been involved in various circular economy projects including textiles and plastics as well as several community empowerment projects, both in Indonesia and the Netherlands.

Ilham took his master’s degree in Environmental Policy at Wageningen University and Research (WUR), the Netherlands, and graduated with a Master in Environmental Sciences (MSc). Previously, he studied at Gadjah Mada University, taking the Management and Public Policy International Undergraduate Program (IUP). In 2017, Ilham participated in a student exchange program at Agder University, Norway for 6 months majoring in International Development.

In his spare time, Ilham likes to travel to new places and try local specialties, besides that Ilham likes to watch Netflix to relax.
