Central Java Solar Day 2021
Discussing the developments in policies and regulations, available technology, and financing schemes that can be used by prospective users of Rooftop Solar.
The potential of Central Java to become a province for solar energy development has been encouraged by IESR in collaboration with the Central Java Provincial Energy and Mineral Resources Agency through the Central Java Solar Province initiative which was inaugurated in 2019. However, there are still a number of challenges that need to be overcome to ensure this initiative can be implemented
One of the challenges for the adoption of Rooftop PV is the knowledge and understanding of PV mini-grid technology. On the other hand, the level of literacy and public awareness in Central Java about PLTS roofs still needs to be improved. Socialization and encouragement to district/city governments in Central Java must also be carried out. Information that is also needed is the PV mini-grid financing scheme according to the needs of potential users.
To provide more in-depth information on prospective users of PLTS roofs, the Central Java Province ESDM Office and IESR will hold a Central Java Solar Day 2021 seminar which will discuss developments in policies and regulations, available technology, and financing schemes that can be used by potential users.
