Koran Jakarta | Using The Profit from Coal to Accelerate Energy Transition

Program Manager Energy Transformation Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR), Deon Arinaldo, in an explanation that was quoted in Jakarta, last weekend, said the profit and the non-tax revenue from the coal mining sector can be allocated partly to support energy transition gradually in order to reduce the dependency on the electricity system of the coal power plants, as well as supporting renewable energy development.

“Benefit and non-tax revenue (PNBP) from coal mining can be shifted partly to encourage energy transition to reduce the electricity dependency on coal power plants and support the renewable energy development,” said Program Manager Energy Transition IESR Deon Arinaldo in a statement quoted in Jakarta, Friday.
