Power System Transition Officer

Auzora Kirana Fidari Pratopo (Zora) serves as a Power System Transition Officer. In her role, Zora is responsible for strategizing energy transition projects, advocating for policy changes with the government, and raising public awareness about the importance of sustainable energy transitions. She plays a vital role in ensuring that energy transformation programs are not only technically sound but also aligned with national policy goals to achieve Indonesia’s decarbonization targets.

Zora holds a unique educational background, beginning with an undergraduate degree in Oceanography from ITB followed by a Master’s in Sustainable Development from KU Leuven, Belgium. Her passion for the energy transition deepened during fieldwork in South Africa, where she witnessed firsthand the societal complexities of implementing clean energy beyond mere technicalities. Prior to joining IESR, she worked as a Technical Analyst at an infrastructure consultancy, where she contributed to energy efficiency measures through the development of floating solar PV installations.

Outside of her professional career, Zora is a contemplative individual who prefers the tranquility of home over noisy environments. She spends her free time tending to a small rooftop garden, journaling, and reading. A lifelong bibliophile, her literary tastes are diverse, ranging from light fiction like the Lupus series to scientific non-fiction like Cosmos. Ahmad Tohari is among her favorite authors, whose storytelling often inspires Zora to consider the human element within sustainable development.
