The International Energy Agency (IEA) report last year stated that the development of PV mini-grid has grown rapidly in the last 10 years. PLTS will be the new king in electricity supply. The Executive Director of the Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR) Fabby Tumiwa also encourages the development of floating solar power plants. According to Fabby, floating solar power plants do not require land which has been an obstacle in every power plant construction in the country.
