As a Senior Analyst in Material and Renewable Energy at IESR, Farid has an enthused interest in organic chemistry, materials science, renewable energy, and the transition to a low-carbon society. He is responsible for supporting energy transition and decarbonization projects in Indonesia by conducting research and studies in materials, decarbonization technologies, energy storage technologies, and renewable energy technologies.

In early 2023, he obtained his Doctor of Philosophy at the Korea University of Science and Technology (UST), Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) campus in early 2023. During his doctoral studies, he developed polymer electrolyte membranes (PEMs) for fuel cell applications as a PhD student researcher at KIER as an organic chemist, polymer, and energy scientist.

In addition, he has extensive industrial experience as a quality assurance (QA) engineer at PT. Kawasaki Motor Indonesia, where he utilized his expertise in Materials science and engineering and was highly engaged in the management and supervision of Quality Management Systems (QMS) as a secretariat leader and lead auditor (ISO/QMS). His academic background also includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgy and Materials Science and Engineering from Universitas Indonesia. As a man who enjoys traveling, he thrives on enjoyable challenges and strives for continuous improvement.
