Dr. Farid Wijaya
Senior Analyst in Material and Renewable Energy
As a Senior Materials and Renewable Energy Analyst at IESR, Farid is passionate about organic chemistry, materials science, renewable energy, and the transition to a low-carbon society. He is responsible for supporting energy transition and decarbonization projects in Indonesia by conducting research and studies in materials, decarbonization technologies, energy storage technologies, and renewable energy technologies.
Farid obtained his Doctor of Philosophy degree at the Korea University of Science and Technology (UST), Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) campus in early 2023. During his doctoral studies, he developed polymer electrolyte membranes (PEM) for fuel cell applications as a PhD student researcher at KIER as an organic chemist, polymer, and energy scientist.
In addition, he has extensive industrial experience as a quality assurance (QA) engineer at PT Kawasaki Motor Indonesia, where he utilized his expertise in Materials science and engineering and was heavily involved in the management and supervision of the Quality Management System (QMS) as secretariat leader and lead auditor (ISO/QMS). His academic background also includes a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Indonesia. As a man who loves to travel, he enjoys fun challenges and strives for continuous improvement.
