Icaq Dwi Prasetyo
Project Officer Sub National Central Java
Icaq Dwi Prasetyo (Icaq) serves as Project Officer Subnational Central Java. In this role, Icaq focuses on strengthening cooperation with relevant government agencies at the provincial level and fostering multi-stakeholder collaboration across energy, policy, mentorship, and capacity-building initiatives. He acts as IESR’s key coordinator in Central Java, managing strategic projects to accelerate renewable energy adoption and ensure an inclusive energy transition within the region.
A Chemistry graduate from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in 2023, Icaq developed his passion for clean energy during his studies through the Solar Power Initiative Movement (GERILYA) Batch 1 program. Prior to joining IESR, he spent a year with GIZ ExploRE, where his research focused on the development of green hydrogen in Indonesia. His academic background in chemistry provides him with a distinct advantage in analyzing the technical aspects of emerging new and renewable energy technologies.
Beyond his professional duties, Icaq is deeply interested in technology implementation, planning, and future strategy. He is an avid fan of science fiction, which often inspires his thinking on technological innovation. To maintain a healthy work-life balance, Icaq enjoys exploring mountains, waterfalls, and other natural destinations, as well as working out at the gym, a set of hobbies that reflect his independence and his love for nature and adventure. The combination of his technical chemistry expertise and regional coordination experience makes him a reliable professional in bridging national energy policies with practical implementation in Central Java.
