The Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR) previously said that the revision of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation Number 49 of 2018 concerning the use of solar power plants (PLTS) would assist the government in achieving the new renewable energy mix (EBT) target of 23% by 2025. IESR Executive Director Fabby Tumiwa said that this regulatory improvement could help Indonesia’s economic recovery from Covid-19 and fulfill its commitment to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
