On October 29, 2021, as part of the environmental crisis mitigation agenda, Indonesia issued Presidential Regulation No. 98/2021. One of its provisions mandates clean carbon emission absorption by 2030, with a primary focus on the forestry and land sector, known as the FOLU Net Sink 2030.
