The Executive Director of the Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR), Fabby Tumiwa, assessed that the constraint often encountered by new renewable energy developers is the limited number of bankable projects. In several cases, Fabby explained that the financial capacity of the domestic private sector is relatively limited, the capital is not strong, provided that local banks demand a fairly high level of equity (30-40%).
