The Maluku and North Maluku regions have a fairly high potential for new and renewable energy, which is 738 gigawatts, which comes from solar energy, water, wind, and biomass where the technical potential of solar energy in Maluku and North Maluku is 721 gigawatts (GW), water energy 1, 5 GW, and 75 megawatts of biomass. Meanwhile, the potential for wind energy can reach 15.5 GW at an altitude of 50 meters and 15.9 GW at an altitude of 100 meters. According to Fabby, this potential has not been fully utilized.
