Muhammad Ihsan
Renewable Energy Analyst
Muhammad Ihsan often called Ihsan is a Renewable Energy Analyst at IESR. In his role, Ihsan focuses on research, studies, and analysis related to the potential and utilization of renewable energy.
Ihsan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy from Universiti Malaya, Malaysia.
He previously served as a Hydrogen Research Assistant at Universiti Malaya, where he conducted experimental studies on green hydrogen production. Prior to that, he worked as a Project Officer at Rumah Amal Salman, managing a small-scale wastewater treatment plant project. Ihsan also gained experience as a Mechanical Engineer Intern at Lentera Bumi Nusantara, where he collaborated with the team in designing, testing, and validating horizontal-axis wind turbine systems.
Academically, Ihsan contributed as a co-author of an international journal article titled “Investigating synthesis techniques for single-metal and multi-metal MXenes: Assessing methods, benefits, challenges and applications in hydrogen production” published in Sustainable Materials and Technologies. He was also a speaker at the Seventh International Conference on Polygeneration (ICP 2023) in Bali, where he shared knowledge on wind turbine technology.
Outside of his professional work, Ihsan enjoys traveling and exploring new places. In his leisure time, he actively plays football and tennis and loves spending time reading books.
