Energy Transformation Program Officer

Muhammad Maghribul Falah, nicknamed Falah, Works at IESR as an energy transformation program officer. He assists the Energy Transformation Program Manager to carry out programs and projects that are within the scope of responsibility and coordination, to produce outputs and achieve the goals set, and have an impact in accordance with the vision and mission of the institution.

Falah started his career in the renewable energy sector through the Patriot Energi, a program from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in collaboration with the IBEKA Foundation. He monitored the construction of a 50 kW Centralized Solar Power Plant in a remote village, Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province. In addition, he also built and managed local community organizations to manage the Solar Power Plant. After participating in the Patriot Energi program, Falah continued working in a remote village in Berau District, East Kalimantan Province. He became the project coordinator to monitor the community and the government made village mapping activities and then made them into village profile books and maps.

After this experience, Falah and his colleagues formed their own social enterprise called Ruang Inovasi. This social enterprise has become an accelerator for village communities in Berau District for them to form village businesses. He hopes they have local products that are ready to compete in the market and can be an added value for the village community.

Falah has a background in science, and holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, from the University of Indonesia. In his spare time, Falah likes jogging, reading comics and watching movies.
