Otniel Stefen Adi (Oni) serves as Stakeholder and Community Engagement Specialist for Bali Net-Zero Emission Initiative. In this strategic role, Oni actively fosters and strengthens relationships with strategic government partners, non-state actors, businesses, and community leaders. His deep-rooted passion for energy and environmental issues serves as the foundation for building these multi-stakeholder collaborations to accelerate Indonesia’s energy transition. Oni plays a vital role in ensuring that IESR’s energy transition initiatives gain widespread support and are integrated across various national stakeholder interests.

Oni holds a solid academic background with a Bachelor’s degree from ITS Surabaya and a Master’s degree in Environmental Resource Management and Development from Brawijaya University. His professional journey includes contributing to the technical sector of electric buses for the G20 Summit and participating in the feasibility study for the Bali Light Rail Transit (LRT). Since 2020, he has also built a career as an environmental consultant specializing in regulations such as ANDAL, RKL-RPL, and AMDAL, including flood control management for PT Amman Mineral. His technical expertise is further bolstered by his published scientific research on electric vehicle battery waste management to ensure environmental sustainability.

Beyond his professional life, Oni is a certified advanced diver who dedicates his skills to supporting coral reef restoration efforts across Indonesia. He also enjoys exploring islands on his motorcycle, a hobby that allows him to immerse himself in local cultures, sample regional cuisines, and build meaningful connections with local communities. The combination of his technical environmental expertise and warm interpersonal communication skills makes Oni a reliable professional in bridging complex energy policies with inclusive social implementation.
