Bali Energy Journey 2025

“Bali Energy Journey 2025” Book & “Bali Energy Journey” Article Collection – Documentation of the Transformation Towards Net Zero Emissions 2045

“Bali Energy Exploration 2025” depicts the clean energy journey in Bali Province through a series of field documentation compiled by IESR in collaboration with the Bali Provincial Department of Manpower and Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM). Various renewable energy locations in Bali Province showcase the dynamics of change towards a more sustainable energy system.

Muara Nusa Dua Reservoir is one highlight, with its floating solar power plants (PLTS) perched on the water’s surface and directly connected to the electricity grid. In the Sanur and Legian areas, rooftop solar power plants (PLTS) are beginning to be adopted by the business sector, providing both emission reductions and operational efficiencies. Keliki Village showcases a distinct landscape, where solar panels stand amidst rice paddies, supporting irrigation and waste management.

Beyond solar power plants, Bali Energy Exploration 2025 also captures stories about the use of other technologies, such as biogas, which reduces kitchen costs, and micro-hydro systems that generate electricity from rural rivers. Each location demonstrates the interaction between renewable energy utilization and the daily needs of the Balinese people.

Through a series of photographs, interviews, and travelogues, this book presents the energy transition as an evolving process of local initiatives, regional policies, and community-based innovations. Clean energy is present as part of the real changes taking place in Bali Province. “Bali Energy Exploration 2025” presents a comprehensive picture of how renewable energy is beginning to shape a more independent, clean, and environmentally friendly energy future in Bali Province.
