This study aims to provide a comprehensive methodology and estimations on the potential of renewable energy in Indonesia. Power sources used in this study are solar-, wind-, and micro-to small-hydropower. Biomass is also used to complement the variability of the three aforementioned sources that highly depend on the weather conditions or so called Variable Renewable Energies, VREs. Additionally, Pumped Hydro Energy Storage (PHES) potential, as a natural battery, is considered as an option to supply the energy deficit when the demand is higher than the supply.
