This publication highlights the challenges faced by Indonesia in its transition to a low-carbon economy, particularly in securing the necessary financing for renewable energy projects. It assesses the implementation of Ministry of Finance Regulation No. 103/2023, which aims to accelerate energy transition financing through the Energy Transition Platform. While the regulation is considered a positive step, the report identifies areas for improvement, such as clarifying policy goals, providing budgetary guidance, and enhancing the platform’s independence and transparency. By addressing these recommendations, Indonesia can better mobilize financing and accelerate its energy transition to achieve its net-zero emissions goal.
