Ruben Layukallo joined IESR in February 2022 and is currently in charge to develop and manage database platforms as well as information and knowledge dissemination. He has prior working experience as Data Analyst and Researcher at some local NGOs that concentrate on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and welfare issues. Ruben’s first experience on renewable energy technology was working at one of the world’s solar industry pioneers and was actively involved in its solar photovoltaic and green product promotion projects. 

Ruben obtained a Master’s Degree in International Development from Graduate School of International Development (GSID), Nagoya University, majoring in Economic Development Studies. He is also an active member of UN Online Volunteers and was supporting UNDESA as a surveyor for the UN E-Government Survey Report 2016 as well as assisting UNDP Asia-Pacific as research consultant for economic related research working paper. Ruben is a heavy consumer of local and international news broadcast and a long time amateur in street photography
