Sub National Engagement Officer
Turas Nur Vemantyasto (Turas) serves as Sub National Engagement Officer. In this role, Turas supports the coordination of programs aimed at expanding the reach of clean and sustainable energy to the community level. He plays a vital role in ensuring smooth project operations and assisting the team in developing systematic work plans to achieve the goal of equitable energy access for people across various regions of Indonesia.
Turas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Planning Education from Yogyakarta State University (UNY) and a Master’s degree in Transportation Systems and Engineering from Gadjah Mada University (UGM). Prior to joining IESR, he gained extensive practical experience as a construction freelancer, involving himself in road and bridge planning projects as well as the implementation of Building Functionality Certificates (SLF). This technical expertise, combined with his leadership as the Coordinator of the UNY Civil Engineering Alumni Association for the 2019-2023 period, provides him with a solid foundation in infrastructure management and stakeholder coordination.
Outside of his professional life, Turas is an individual who enjoys exploring stories through visual literature. He often spends his spare time reading comics as a means of recreation and creative inspiration. His background in civil engineering, combined with his understanding of transportation systems and well-honed organizational skills, makes him a reliable professional in managing the complexities of energy access programs that often intersect with physical infrastructure development in local areas.
