Muhamad Yudistira Rahayu (Yudis) serves as Head of Bali Net Zero Emission. In this strategic role, Yudis is responsible for executing strategies and ensuring that all activities within the Bali NZE 2045 project remain on track. He oversees the timely achievement of project targets and objectives, supporting Bali’s ambition to become a pioneer in carbon neutrality in Indonesia by 2045 through renewable energy integration and sustainable policy implementation.
Yudis holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering with a focus on Environment and Sustainability from the Università degli Studi di Padova, Italy. During his time in Europe, he conducted advanced research on biohydrogen and biomethane production from organic waste using anaerobic digestion processes. Before focusing on the environmental sector. This multidisciplinary background, combined with his scientific publications on zero-waste strategies presented at international symposia in Italy, enriches his technical approach to managing complex energy transition projects.
Beyond his professional career, Yudis is an avid adventurer who enjoys exploring nature, from hiking the peaks of the Dolomites and the Alps to discovering Indonesia’s forests and oceans. To maintain a healthy work-life balance, he actively engages with his international network and his family in Bogor. Yudis also has a creative side in the kitchen; he is an enthusiastic cook and baker, with Italian pastry and cheesecake being his signature treats. For Yudis, a commitment to renewable energy technology must go hand-in-hand with a deep appreciation for environmental preservation and human connection.
